China: The Tower of Buddhist Incense at the Summer Palace


The Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), built in 1750, is composed mainly of Wanshoushan (The Longevity Hill) and the Kunming Lake. With Foxiangge (The Pavilion of Buddhist Incense) at its center, the palace consists of over 3,000 courts and gardens that served the three purposes of political activities, living and entertainment.
