Europa 2018 Bridges on cover from Moldova

I received beautiful cover from Moldova, with set Europa 2018 Bridges. And this are for me most beautiful Europa stamps in 2018. First stamp is featuring the wooden suspension bridge over the Răut River, and second bridge is designed by Gustave Eiffel, completed in 1877, just three days before the outbreak of the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878. Bessarabia was then part of Russian Empire. Stamps are issued on 8.2.2018.

Thank you Mihnea!

Jass cards on cover from Switzerland

Jass, first mentioned in Switzerland in 1796, was originally the name of the highest trump, the Jack, in a family of related games originally spread from the Netherlands during the Late Middle Ages. Today, Jass is the name of the game. The traditional 36-card, Swiss-German-suited pack with which it is played is called Jasskarten. By extension, Jass is often used of any game played in Switzerland with such cards. The Jack of the trump suit is not known as Jass in the contemporary game. Cards are not often represented on stamps, so it was pleasure to see this set issued on 6.9.2018.

Electric car Marathon Tallinn - Monte Carlo on cover from Estonia

Tallinn was one of the starting points for the Monte Carlo rally in 1930–1939; as of 2011, the legendary competition is driven by electric cars. 2018 marks the first time that the electric car marathon follows the route from the Tallinn–Monte Carlo rally, which was held in the 1930s and was driven along the Baltic's Sea coast and through France. Minisheet with 2 stamps is issued on 18.9.2018. On this stamp you can see GAZ-M20 Pobeda, a passenger car produced in the Soviet Union by GAZ from 1946 until 1958. It was also licensed to Polish Passenger Automobile Factory, as FSO Warszawa. Although usually known as the GAZ-M20, an original car's designation at that time was just M-20, for "Molotovets" (GAZ factory bore a name of Vyacheslav Molotov).

He first served as the second Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tunisia before proclaiming the Tunisian Republic in 1957 and thus becoming the first President of Tunisia. Prior to that, he played a major role in obtaining independence from France, ending the 75 years old protectorate and earning the title of "Supreme Combatant". Stamp is issued on 31.7.2018. Second stamp is dedicated to The 56th Anniversary of the National Army, and is issued on 24.6.2012.

Star Trek: The Trouble with Tribbles, with cancellation from Moonbeam, Ontario

"The Trouble with Tribbles" is the fifteenth episode of the second season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek. In the episode, the starship Enterprise arrives at Deep Space Station K7 to guard a consignment of grain bound for Sherman's Planet. On arrival, a trader named Cyrano Jones gives Lt. Uhura a tribble, a small, furry alien lifeform, with dramatic consequences.

This is trailer for this famous comedic episode

This postcard is sent with awesome cancellation from Moonbeam, Ontario. The name "Moonbeam" is attributed to early pioneers who allegedly witnessed flashing lights falling from the sky, which they called "moonbeams". These lights fell down or reflected in a creek that flows west from Strickland to Rémi Lake and was called Moonbeam Creek. These lights could have been Northern Lights that often appear with the moon light.

Another suggestion is that the name came from the passengers on the Transcontinental Railway, who would be traveling for many miles through dark forests and when they came to the natural clearing near Moonbeam would be struck by the brilliance of the moon-lit snow. Nevertheless, there is no documented proof of the exact source of this name.

Thank you Trevor!

Star Trek: Enterprise, with cancellation from Vulcan, Canada

I received another Star Trek postcard from Vulcan, Canada. This one is dedicated to Star Trek: Enterprise, the sixth series in the Star Trek franchise. It served as a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series. Set in the 22nd century a hundred years before the events of The Original Series, and just prior to the formation of the United Federation of Planets, the series follows the adventures of the Enterprise, Earth's first starship capable of traveling at warp five.

Another beautiful cancellation from Vulcan on prepaid card issued by Canada Post.

Thank you so much Trevor!
