On 15th September 2018 Serbia and India jointly issued a set two of stamps to celebrate friendship as cofounders of the Non-Aligned Movement. India-Serbia relations are warm and friendly drawing their strength from the shared values of Non-Alignment as the pillar of the Foreign Policy and the personal friendship of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Marshall Tito the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.
This joint set pays tribute to two great personalities of the two
countries, Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla, genius in the field of
electricity, energy, wireless transmission and magnetism and Svami
Vivekananda, philosopher and spiritual master, who introduced Hinduism
to the western world and inspired the movement for the independence of
India.
