New Zealand: The Hobbit Trilogy complete set

The Hobbit Trilogy is largely filmed on New Zealand. Film series consisting of three fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson, based on the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. New Zealand released three stamps sets in time of movie premieres. Stamps are issued as self-adhesive stamps and as a gummed mini sheets, each for one stamp. First movie and stamp set is The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, issued on 01.11.2012.
