Europa CEPT 2019 National Birds on cover from Sweden

This fantastic looking souvenir sheet is Swedish issue for Europa CEPT 2019 National Birds, issued on 9.5.2019. Both birds on stamps are common or Eurasian blackbirds (Turdus merula), a species of true thrush. It breeds in Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to Australia and New Zealand. They also live in Serbia, and they had nest in my yard! The adult male of the nominate subspecies, which is found throughout most of Europe, is all black except for a yellow eye-ring and bill and has a rich, melodious song; the adult female and juvenile have mainly dark brown plumage. This species breeds in woods and gardens, building a neat, mud-lined, cup-shaped nest. It is omnivorous, eating a wide range of insects, earthworms, berries, and fruits.

I receive another wonderful cover from Sweden.All stamps are related to fauna. First two stamps are from set Forest Animals, issued on 23.8.2018. And other two stamps are from set Winter Birds (The Bohemian waxwing and The Eurasian bullfinch), issued on 1.11.2018.

Beautiful cover from Sweden

I received this beautiful cover from Sweden with four extraordinary stamps and nice cancellation from Göteborg! First two stamps on cover are  wall decorations, from set Farmhouses of Hälsingland, issued on 7.5.2015. Other two are butterflies the black-veined white and the small tortoiseshell, from set issued on 16.3.2017.

FDC from Sweden: Olympic gold

I received from my friend this Swedish FDC dedicated to Olympic gold medalists. Stamps are issued on 21.05.1992. Tho motifs feature the swimmer Gunnar Larsson, two gold medals in Munich 1972, the cyclist Bernt Johansson,gold in the road race over 18 km and Anders Gärderud, gold in 3.000 m steeplechase event in Montreal 1976, and the greatest Swedish Olympian of all, the canoeist Gert Fredriksson, six gold medals in twelve years, 1948-1960.

Nice postcard from Arctic Circle "borderline" in Naisheden, Sweden. The Arctic Circle is the southernmost latitude where the midnight sun can be seen.

Sweden: Dandelion - Taraxacum

My first postcard from Sweden!

Taraxacum is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae and consists of species commonly known as dandelion. They are native to Eurasia and North America, and two species, T. officinale and T. erythrospermum, are found as weeds worldwide. Both species are edible in their entirety.
