USA: The Mule Train Mail in Supai, Arizona

Supai is a census-designated place (CDP) in Coconino County, Arizona, United States, within the Grand Canyon. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 208. The capital of the Havasupai Indian Reservation, Supai is the only place in the United States where mail is still carried out by mules. Supai has been referred to as "the most remote community" in the contiguous United States by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It is accessible only by helicopter, on foot or by mule. Supai is 13 km from the nearest road and has no automobiles in the community.

Stamps and banknotes in cover from Lebanon

I have received my first cover from Lebanon.

Stamp used on cover is Hassan Alaa Eddin - Lebanese actor, singer and comedian, from set Famous People, issued on 23.05.2011.

Inside was several mint stamps:
Deir al-Qamar, issued on 02.04.2016.
Vegetation of Natural Reserves, issued on 02.08.2010.
Germanos Mouakkad (1853-1912), issued on 05.09.2014.
Civil Protection, issued on 02.08.2010.

These are used and mint fiscal stamps of Lebanon.

And these are banknotes of Lebanon. Old one is 1 Livre, issued from 1964-1993. And new one is 1,000 Livres, issued from 2011-2016.

Fantastic cover from Costa Rica

I have received fantastic big cover from Costa Rica, with a lot of postcards, 3 mini sheets, 3 banknotes and one coin, map of Costa Rica, key chain and coaster! And it's very hard to tell what is my favorite from all this amazing stuff! Let's start with stamps.

This mini sheet is Art of Costa Rica, issued on 03.07.2008. On this stamps you can see art of Rudy Espinoza, Crisanto Badillo, Miguel Hernandez and Lola Fernandez.

Seconds mini sheet is Archaeological Sites, issued on 23.06.2016. This mini sheet is unique because statue on left side have rough surface, it feels like stone under your fingers!

Third mini sheet is National Park Marino Las Baulas, issued on 24.08.2016. Turtles (Dermachelys coriacea) on this mini sheet are embossed! You can see embossing on the back side on picture below.

This is fantastic set of 21 postcards with flora, fauna and nature of Costa Rica.

Banknotes are 5 colones (24.01.1990), 50 colones (07.07.1993), and 100 colones (28.09.1993.)

25 postcards from Swat Valley in Pakistan

I have received registered cover from Pakistan with 25 beautiful postcards from Swat Valley and one banknote. Swat Valley has a rich history that dates back over two thousand years. Swat is thought to be the probable birthplace of Vajrayana Buddhism. There are many archaeological sites in the district and Buddhist relics are common testimony to their skills as sculptors and architects. It is said that Swat was once filled with fourteen hundred imposing and beautiful stupas and monasteries, which housed as many as 6,000 gold images of the Buddhist pantheon for worship and education.

 

This rock carving is now damaged by Talibans, as you can see on picture bellow.

There were more than 400 Buddhist sites covering an area of 160 km in Swat Valley before the Taliban's rise to power, but these historical heritages are being systematically targeted by the Taliban and it is feared that their intolerance will not allow for the survival of any traces of Buddhism in Swat.

 I have also received one banknote. It's a one rupee banknote, printed in 1983.
