Here is another nice cover from South Korea, with 3 stamps from different sets dedicated to fauna. First one is from set Chinese New Year 2014 - Year of the Horse, issued on 2.12.2013. Second one is from set Endangered Species : Korean Mountain Goat, issued on 20.2.2017. And third stamp in pair is Tawny Owl (Strix aluco), issued on 1.9.2005. This special postmark is dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the South Korean Air Force.

70th Anniversary of the South Korean Air Force

South Korea's Air Force was established on Oct. 1, 1949, with around 1,600 personnel and 20 light aircraft. Upon the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950, the Air Force acquired 10 F-51 Mustang fighter bombers, its first-ever fighter jets, from U.S. forces and carried out operations. Seventy years on, the Air Force has made marked progress and now possesses state-of-the-art weapons systems like F-35A stealth fighters and KC-330 aerial tankers, and it aims to be a leading aerospace power that could rule future warfare, according to officers. South Korean marked 70th anniversary with this beautiful stamp and postmark.

Inter-Korean Summit on postcard and matching stamp from South Korea

From September 18 to 20, South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited North Korea and held approximately five hours of meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. During the summit, their third since April 2018, the two leaders issued a Pyongyang Joint Declaration pledging denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, improvements in inter-Korean relations, and confidence-building measures to ease military tension.

Natural life in Korean Demilitarized Zone

The Korean Demilitarized Zone is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula. It is established by the provisions of the Korean Armistice Agreement to serve as a buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea. DMZ is a border barrier that divides the Korean Peninsula roughly in half. It was created by agreement between North Korea, China and the United Nations Command in 1953. The DMZ is 250 kilometers long, and about 4 kilometers wide. This set is third in this series of wildlife in DMZ, and it's issued on 25.6.2018.

Special postmarks with famous scientists on cover from South Korea

I got this cover from South Korea with special postmarks dedicated to famous scientists from South Korea: Soon-ji Yi (astronomer), Choi Seok-jeong (mathematician) and Ahn Dong-hyuk (chemical engineer). On fourth cancellation you can see pictograms referring to the works of these scientists.

Special postmark The 100th Anniversary of the March 1st Movement on cover from South Korea

The March 1st Movement was one of the earliest public displays of Korean resistance during the rule of Korea by Japan from 1910 to 1945. The name refers to an event that occurred on March 1, 1919, hence the movement's name, literally meaning "Three-One Movement" or "March First Movement" in Korean.  Movement arose in reaction to the repressive nature of colonial occupation under the de facto military rule of the Japanese Empire following 1905, and inspired by the "Fourteen Points" outlining the right of national "self-determination", which was proclaimed by President Woodrow Wilson at the Paris Peace Conference in January 1919. After hearing news of Wilson's speech, Korean students studying in Tokyo published a statement demanding freedom from colonial rule. Approximately 2,000,000 Koreans had participated in the more than 1,500 demonstrations. Several thousand were massacred by the Japanese police force and army.

During the summit, their third since April 2018, the two leaders issued a Pyongyang Joint Declaration pledging denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, improvements in inter-Korean relations, and confidence-building measures to ease military tension. Kim promised to visit Seoul "at an early date." This FDC is issued to commemorate this meeting, on 12.9.2018.

Triggerfish

Triggerfishes are about 40 species of often brightly colored fishes of the family Balistidae. Often marked by lines and spots, they inhabit tropical and subtropical oceans throughout the world, with the greatest species richness in the Indo-Pacific. Most are found in relatively shallow, coastal habitats, especially at coral reefs, but a few, such as the aptly named oceanic triggerfish (Canthidermis maculata), are pelagic. While several species from this family are popular in the marine aquarium trade, they are often notoriously ill-tempered.

This postcard doesn't have stamps, only this sticker for postage, clearly issued at Busan National University in South Korea. Sticker is taped on both sides of postcard.

South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea (Hangul: 대한민국; Hanja: 大韓民國; Daehan Minguk, "The Republic of Great Han"; ROK), and commonly referred to as Korea, is a sovereign state in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.
