Copán, UNESCO WHS from Honduras

Copán is an archaeological site of the Maya civilization in the Copán Department of western Honduras, not far from the border with Guatemala. It was the capital city of a major Classic period kingdom from the 5th to 9th centuries AD. The city was in the extreme southeast of the Mesoamerican cultural region, on the frontier with the Isthmo-Colombian cultural region, and was almost surrounded by non-Maya peoples.

Stamps on postcard:
Green Iguana, issued on 6.10.2014.
Hawkwing Conch (Strombus raninus), issued on 19.7.2004.
Airmail - Telethon, issued on 4.12.2003.

Thank you Cesar!

Flags of the World Series: Maldives

The Maldives is a country in South Asia, located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean. It lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 1,000 kilometers from the Asian continent. The chain of 26 atolls stretches from Ihavandhippolhu Atoll in the north to Addu Atoll in the south. Comprising a territory spanning roughly 298 square kilometers, the Maldives is one of the world's most geographically dispersed sovereign states as well as the smallest Asian country by land area and population, with around 427,756 inhabitants. Malé is the capital and the most populated city, traditionally called the "King's Island" for its central location.

Stamp on postcard is from set Marine fauna, issued on 25.5.2018.

Latvian Birds on cover from Riga

This is cover from Latvia, sent from capital city Riga, with two stamps from two different sets from series Latvian Birds. First one is Western Yellow Wagtail (Motacilla flava), issued on 14.7.2017. The western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava) is a small passerine in the wagtail family Motacillidae, which also includes the pipits and longclaws. This species breeds in much of temperate Europe and Asia. It is resident in the milder parts of its range, such as western Europe, but northern and eastern populations migrate to Africa and south Asia. Second stamp is Common Redshank (Tringa totanus), issued on 8.6.2018. The common redshank or simply redshank (Tringa totanus) is a Eurasian wader in the large family Scolopacidae. The genus name Tringa is the New Latin name given to the green sandpiper by Aldrovandus in 1599 based on Ancient Greek trungas, a thrush-sized, white-rumped, tail-bobbing wading bird mentioned by Aristotle.

Thank you, Holger!

Cover from French Southern and Antarctic Lands - St. Paul and Amsterdam islands

Amsterdam and Saint-Paul are subantarctic volcanic islands in the southern Indian Ocean, located approximately 80 km from each other. Among the most remote islands in the world, Amsterdam and Saint-Paul are more than 3,000 km from any continent, situated between Antarctica, Africa, and Australia. Amsterdam is an island of about 55 km2, with an extinct volcano reaching 911 m altitude. Saint-Paul is a much smaller island, only 7 km2, and reaching an altitude of 272 m. Together with the Crozel and Kerguelen archipelagoes and the Antarctic territory of Terre Adèlie, Saint-Paul and Amsterdam are part of the French Southern and Antarctic Territories, formed in 1955.

Stamps on cover:
First 3 stamps are from set Penguins, issued on 7.6.2018.
Last stamp is La Quille Rock, St Paul Island, issued on 2.1.2018.

Cook Islands: Pukapuka Atoll

Pukapuka (formerly Danger Island!) is a coral atoll in the northern group of the Cook Islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is one of most remote islands of the Cook Islands, situated about 1,140 kilometres northwest of Rarotonga. On this small island, an ancient culture and distinct language has been maintained over many centuries. The traditional name for the atoll is Te Ulu-o-Te-Watu (The head of the stone), and the northern islet where the people normally reside is affectionately known as Wale (Home). The name Pukapuka is also ancient and referred originally to the people.

Stamp on postcard is from set International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, issued on 14.7.2017.

Thank you very much Wolfgang for my first postcard from Cook Islands!

Registered jumbo cover from USA

I received registered jumbo cover from Miami, Florida, with very cool gifts inside. This cover was stuck very long on customs, they probably played with one of the gifts lol! Mike used interesting high value stamps on cover: Statue of Freedom stamps (recess print), issued on 27.6.2018. and highest value stamp from set Waves, issued on 1.12.2012.

Inside cover was this replica of Star Trek communicator!

The communicator is a fictional device used for voice communication in the fictional universe of Star Trek. As seen in at least two instances, the Original Series episodes "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" and "Day of the Dove," it can also serve as an emergency signaling device/beacon, similar to a transponder. The communicator allows direct contact between individuals or via a ship's communication system.

Inside cover was also two sets of stamps. This one is The History of Hockey (joint Issue with Canada), issued on 20.10.2017.

Second sheet is The Art of magic, printed in lenticular technique. This wonderful minisheet is issued on 7.8.2018.

On this GIF picture you see lenticular magic at work!

Thank you very much Mike!
