This beautiful sight over Cable Bay in Saint Kitts is my second postcard from this fantastic island in the West Indies. For hundreds of years, St. Kitts operated as a sugar monoculture, but due to decreasing profitability, the government closed the industry in 2005. Tourism is a major and growing source of income to the island, and when you see this view, it's not hard to conclude why people go there. Definitely on my wish list.
Again is mini sheet used for postage, this time orchid Psychilis atropurpurea, issued on 18.09.2001.
Thank you Wolfgang!
